We are looking for a Business Development Lead to help B2B customers and prospects take a new look at Augmented Reality. SPEX™ has reimagined AR into a tool that brings Super Vision to exciting new Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality applications in medicine, security, product assembly & distribution, and scientific research.

Our Business Development Lead will be responsible producing sales and establishing strategic partnerships for the SPEX™ family of Bioptic Tilt wearable display products, within North America and internationally. In this position you will be the sales driver for OEM partnerships and direct B2B volume sales.

Although supported by Engineering, you will also be the primary technical contact with customers, prospects and developers as their initial ideas work their way to product reality. With your background in envisioning and communicating technical solutions, you will become a go-to problem solver and source of ideas for your accounts.

More About This Role:

  • Manages all aspects of the sales process to secure successful closure of business with, or through, external application developers, channel partners, or enterprise customers
  • Develops and manages ongoing relationships with customer and partner organizations
  • Develops and manages strategy, sales forecasts and sales plans
  • Provides product performance and technical customer feedback to Product Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Provides technical planning, setup and support for sales demonstrations, trade shows and special events
  • All other duties as assigned within the scope and spirit of the position

Skills and Requirements For This Role:

We are looking for an individual who will have:

  • 3-10 years successful experience in enterprise/ OEM Business Development, Sales or Sales Engineering, with experience selling/supporting VR/AR/MR HMD hardware and software
  • 4-year Technical or Business Degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AR/MR market and competition
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AR/MR development platforms (i.e. AR, Kit ARCore, Microsoft Mixed Reality and others)
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Snapdragon Processors and Android Operating Systems
  • Position is located in Toronto
  • Able to travel 50% of the time, or more (primarily within Canada and the U.S.)

As an integral part of the SPEX Business Development team you will share in the team’s success, with a sales bonus on top of a competitive salary, and a great stock options package.
